    How to Request an Official Transcript
Step A: Navigate to the Transcript Request Page
- Go to the college website: www.gfcmsu.edu 
- From the homepage navigate to “Current Students”, then find “Transcripts” under the Academics section (or go via the Registrar’s Office link). Registrar's Page 
- On the Registrar’s Office page, under “Transcripts” you will find the relevant request form or link. 
Step B: Complete the Request
- You will be directed to a DocuSign Power Form (electronic signature) for an official transcript request. 
- Fill out your information: name, student ID, date(s) attended, address for delivery, etc. 
- Indicate whether the transcript is to be sent to you, another institution, or a third-party. 
- Submit the form, and if applicable pay any fee (all requests after the first free one are subject to a charge). 
Step C: Submit and Wait for Processing
- Submit the form electronically or drop it in‐person / mail it to Student Central / Registrar’s Office. 
- Standard processing time is 3‐5 business days after receipt of the request (unless during a busy time, e.g., end of term). 
- Once processed, the transcript will be sent to the recipient address you provided. 
How to Access an Unofficial Transcript
If you attended since Summer 1987, you can access your unofficial transcript via the MyMSU portal:
- Log in to your MyMSU Great Falls College account. 
- Navigate to the section for transcripts or academic records. 
- View or print your unofficial transcript for your own reference (note: unofficial transcripts may not be accepted by other institutions as “official”). 
Fees & Special Considerations
- The first official transcript request is free. 
- Subsequent requests: $3.00 each unless rush service is requested. 
- If you request rush processing, an additional fee applies. 
- If you have holds on your account (financial, library, etc.), your transcript may not be released until the hold is cleared. 
- If you have restricted release of information (FERPA hold), you may need to appear in person with ID.
