Faculty - How to delete the pairing of Brightspace and Pearson courses
Delete the pairing of Brightspace and Pearson courses You may decide to unpair delete the pairing between a Brightspace and MyLab or Modified Mastering course. Typically, this occurs when students have access codes for one course but you paired a different course. For example, the students might have access codes for a fifth edition textbook, but the pairing is to a course using the fourth edition text. You might also need to delete the pairing if you accidentally created or copied the wrong MyLab or Modified Mastering course. When you delete the association between the two courses: The MyLab and Modified Mastering course is permanently deleted. Any customizations you made to the course are lost. The MyLab or Modified Mastering course's paired components are removed from the Pearson Tools page. However, you must remove any links that you added to the course content. If any students are enrolled in the paired MyLab or Modified Mastering course, when you unpair the course all their work and grades in that course are lost. When you pair the Brightspace course with a different MyLab or Modified Mastering course, the grade items from the original course remain but are not updated in future syncs. These grade items are included in the list of items to sync, which may result in duplicate items. After you unpair the courses, you can pair the Brightspace course with another MyLab or Modified Mastering course. Your students must enter the Brightspac ecourse, click the MyLab & Mastering course link, and enroll in the new MyLab or Modified Mastering course. If you pair the same MyLab or Modified Mastering course materials, students who already redeemed their access codes or paid with a credit card automatically gain access, although they may be asked to sign in first. Students must use the same Pearson username and password that they used to sign in to the first course. If you pair a different MyLab or Modified Mastering course materials, the enrollment process prompts students for additional payment. To ensure that they don't have to pay for the re-enrollment, contact you rPearson sales representative and request replacement access codes that match the course materials for these students. To delete the pairing between a Brightspace course and MyLab or Modified Mastering course: Export any grade items that you need from the original MyLab or Modified Mastering course you are unpairing from the Brightspace course. Note: These grades cannot be imported into your new MyLab or Modified Mastering course. Instead, you must manually change the grades in the new course. If applicable, advise students that you are un-pairing the MyLab or Modified Mastering course. Enter the Brightspace course. Click the MyLab & Mastering widget on the Brightspace course's home page. Under Help & Support, click Get Diagnostics. Click Delete MyLab & Mastering course and association with Brightspace course. under Course Information. Click Yes, delete course association to remove the pairing between the Brightspace and MyLab or Modified Mastering courses and delete the MyLab or Modified Mastering course. Refresh the page to return to MyLab and Mastering for Brightspace.

Faculty - Add Access Pearson (LTI 1.3) To Your Course
Go to your course in D2L. Go to Content. Click into a module or create a new one to add the initial Access Pearson link. Click on Existing Activities > External Learning Tools > Access Pearson. Click on the new link to Access Pearson. Login to your Pearson account and click Continue. Select the problem you are linking (MyLab and Mastering). Create a new Pearson course or select an existing one.

Go to your course in Brightspace. Click on Content. Go to the module you'd like the link in. Click Existing Activities > Pearson Links. You'll see a list of all assignments. Select an assignment and click add link.

How To Add A Section Instructor In Pearson My Lab and Mastering
Step 1: As a course creator, give your section instructor: A course ID or course invite link Course ID - The course ID is a unique identifier for your course. It consists of your last name followed by five or six digits. For example: wong63229. Find your course ID on your course creation confirmation email, the My Courses page, or the course details page. OR Course invite link - The course invite link is a direct URL to register for your course. For example: https://mlm.pearson.com/enrollment/instructor95213. Find your course invite link on the course-specific registration instructions. AND Special Access Code - Request a section instructor access code from the Pearson account rep and provide this to the section instructor. Step 2: Section Instructor links their account to this course using the course ID and special access code. With a section instructor account Get the course ID, invite link, and a section instructor access code from the course owner. Go to MyLab & Mastering. Select Educator access. Select I need to enroll in a course created by another instructor. On the Find your course page, enter the course ID, program ID, or invite link from the course owner. For example: instructor95213. Select Continue to register. On the Sign in page, select Create an account to enter your information. On the Create an account page, complete the fields. It’s best practice to use your email address as your username. Your password must have at least eight characters, one uppercase letter, and one number. Note: If you already have an account, select Sign in at the bottom of the page. Use your existing account to register for any Pearson course. Select Create Account. Select Get started. On the Select an Option page, confirm your course title and edition. Make sure it matches what the course owner is using. If not, select find your course. Select Access Code. Do not select Temporary Access - Temporary access is for student accounts only. On the Access Code page, enter your section instructor access code. Note: When a section instructor registers for a second or more courses based on the same course materials, such as a multi-semester course, you are not asked for another access code. Select Finish. You receive an email to confirm your enrollment in the course. The course owner receives an automatic email notification that you have successfully enrolled in the course as a section instructor. The course owner can then grant you access to specific instructor tools. With an existing educator account Get the course ID, invite link, and a section instructor access code from the course owner. Go to MyLab & Mastering. Select Sign in to your course. Use your existing educator account. On the My Courses page, select Enroll as section instructor. Enter the course ID or invite link and select Continue. On the Select an Option page, confirm your course title and edition. Make sure it matches what the course owner is using. If not, select find your course. Select Access Code. Do not select Temporary Access - Temporary access is for student accounts only. On the Access Code page, enter your section instructor access code. Note: When a section instructor registers for a second or more courses based on the same course materials, such as a multi-semester course, you are not asked for another access code. Select Finish. You receive an email to confirm your enrollment in the course. The course owner receives an automatic email notification that you have successfully enrolled in the course as a section instructor. The course owner can then grant you access to specific instructor tools. Step 3: Add the instructor as a section instructor from the Pearson side and set the proper permissions.
