Sharing Panopto Course Folder Access From D2L to Canvas
Accessing Panopto from Canvas will create a new Panopto user account. The only way instructors will be able to access their video content is by allowing Panopto to create the new Canvas/Panopto account, accessing the course folder from D2L, and sharing the course folder to the new user account. The video above and instructions below detail how to do that. Login to Canvas and go to any course you have Instructor level access to. Click on Panopto Recordings in the course menu. It may take a few moments to load as it is creating the new account. Once it loads, click the icon to "pop" Panopto out into its own window. Click on your initials in the top right corner and copy the username. (It should be just your gfcmsu.edu email address). Close the Panopto window or tab. Now, go to Brightspace and navigate to a course that has Panopto videos you need to access from Canvas. Click on Panopto Recordings. Click on the "share" icon. In the window that opens, click in the name field and paste the username you copied from the other screen. (It may take a few moments to come up. When you see the listing that shows Canvas\ click on it and then click on "Viewer" and change it to "Creator". Click the Save button. Now, if you access Panopto from Canvas, you should be able to locate the course folder that your Canvas user now has access to.

How To Enable Respondus Lockdown Browser/Monitor In Your Canvas Course
Navigate to your course in Canvas. Click on Respondus Lockdown Browser in the left side menu. (If it is not there you will need to add it to your course following these instructions) Click the arrow to the left of the quiz or exam you wish to enable lockdown browser for and click Settings. Select "Require Respondus Lockdown Browser for this exam". If you only wish to lockdown the student's web browser while they take the quiz or exam, you can click the "Save and Close" button. If you wish to record the student's webcam and microphone, and optionally their screen, continue to step 5. In the new section that opens, select "Require Respondus Monitor (automated proctoring) for this exam. If you wish to record the student's screen in addition to their webcam and microphone, select "Webcam + Screen". Edit or disable any options you wish to under the Startup Sequence, you can do so here. If you are providing students with the option of taking their quiz/exam using Respondus Monitor OR in a proctored setting, you will want to open up the Advanced Settings and check the box that says "Allow this exam to additionally be delivered in a proctored lab (no webcam or screen recording), and also enter an Exam Password. Please note: the Exam Password is not to be given to students, it will need to be transmitted to the Testing Center and/or remote proctor, based on who will be proctoring the exam.
