Faculty - How2 Adjust the Quiz Submission View

It is important to adjust the quiz submission view in order to provide the students with feedback regarding their assessments.  The following video will demonstrate how to associate objectives, and how to adjust the submission views students see after taking the quiz. 



Allow Students To See Their Submission View Immediately Upon Completion

  1. From the course, click on Toolbox > Quizzes and click on the name of the quiz you would like to edit.
  2. Click on the "Submission Views" tab.
  3. Under the "View Details" section select the "Yes" option. 
    • Show questions answered incorrectly - Only questions graded with a point value of 0 will be displayed.
    • Show questions answered correctly - Only questions graded with a point value above 0 will be displayed.
    • Show all questions without user responses - All questions will be displayed, without any of the user's responses.
    • Show all questions with user responses - All questions will be displayed, along with the user's responses.
    • Show question answers - Displays the correct answer for each question that is displayed, (based on choices above).
  4. Click "Save" when done editing the quiz.



Allow Students To See Their Submission View At A Later Date

(typically after the end date for the quiz has passed)

  1. From the course, click on Toolbox > Quizzes and click on the name of the quiz you would like to edit.
  2. Click on the "Submission Views" tab.
  3. Click on the "Add Additional View" button.
  4. Under "View Restrictions", set the date and time that the additional view should be made available to students. 
  5. IP Restriction - It is not recommended to use this option.
  6. Limited Duration - It is not recommended to use this option.
  7. Under the "View Details" section select the "Yes" option. 
    • Show questions answered incorrectly - Only questions graded with a point value of 0 will be displayed.
    • Show questions answered correctly - Only questions graded with a point value above 0 will be displayed.
    • Show all questions without user responses - All questions will be displayed, without any of the user's responses.
    • Show all questions with user responses - All questions will be displayed, along with the user's responses.
    • Show question answers - Displays the correct answer for each question that is displayed, (based on choices above).
  8. Click "Save" when done editing the quiz.
