Faculty - Setting Up A Weighted Gradebook

- From the course you would like to setup a weighted gradebook, click on "Grades" in the navigation menu.
- Click on "Setup Wizard".
- Click "Start".
- Choose "Weighted" for the grading system of choice and click "Continue".
- Select whether to release the Calculated Final Grade or the Adjusted Final Grade and click "Continue".
- Calculated Final Grade - The grade that is achieved by users based on the grading formula set up in the grade book. It cannot be adjusted without editing grade item scores.
- Adjusted Final Grade - Allows you to modify or adjust users' grades before releasing them.
- Automatically release final grade - When enabled, the system automatically marks users' final grades as released once created. You may still alter the release status after being automatically released.
- Select whether to drop ungraded items or treat ungraded items as 0 and click "Continue".
- Drop ungraded items - Items that do not have a grade inputted are not counted in the final grade.
- Treat ungraded items as 0 - Items that do not have a grade inputted are counted as 0 in the final grade.
- Automatically keep final grade updated - Final grades are automatically adjusted when changes are made to grade items or calculation options.
- Select a default grading scheme from either Percentage or Letter Grading Scheme and click "Continue".
- Select the number of decimal places to display and click "Continue".
- Select options to affect the student's view of their gradebook items and click "Continue".
- Confirm the options you have selected and click the "Finish" button.
