Faculty - How do I locate a student's incomplete quiz attempt?
Modified on: Wed, Jul 31 2019 3:04 PMIncomplete quiz attempts do not show up in the quiz grade area by default. If you need to locate an incomplete quiz attempt for a student, you can do the following.
1. Go to the Quizzes tool in Brightspace, click on the "More actions" arrow to the right of the quiz name, and click on "Grade".
2. Look for the drop-down menu titled "Restrict to" and select "Users with attempts in progress".
3. Look for the "Search for..." box near the top of the page and click on the magnifying glass icon to the right.
4. In the bottom section of the page, you will see the students who have started a quiz attempt, but have not completed it. You can click on the text that says, "attempt 1" to view their attempt, which also allows you to view the quiz log that shows all of their progress with time stamps. If you need to submit the attempt for grading, you can click on the small icon that looks like two people with an arrow between, as shown below. This button allows you to enter the quiz as the student, for the purposes of submitting their incompleted quiz attempt.
