Faculty - How2 Use Respondus For Assessment Creation and Test Banks By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to... Search the Respondus Test Bank for assessments from publishers. Create an exam using Respondus. For more information, please download the Respondus User Guide below. If you need assistance with installation, please contact elearning@gfcmsu.edu. 1. Open Respondus, and select either "Create" or "Test Bank Network". If you would like to create the test yourself, select "create". If you would like to search for a certain publisher's assessment, select "Test Bank Network". 2. Test Bank Network You can use the codes provided by your publisher to search the test bank. An example of the search page is below. 3. Follow the prompts to add questions you have create yourself, or questions from the Test Bank Network. 4. Select "Publish" to publish assessment to D2L course. DOC

Faculty - How To Print A Test From D2L Using Respondus
The Respondus Campus application can be used to download existing tests from Brightspace in order to print them or save them as a document, such as Microsoft Word documents. Open the Respondus Campus application. Click on the tab labeled "Retrieval" and click the "Retrieve Questions" button. If you have used Respondus before, select the Brightspace Server from the drop-down menu, and proceed to step 9. If there is nothing listed in the drop-down menu, select "-add new server-". Select "Yes, check for preconfigured server settings", and click "Next". Select "Desire2Learn - GFC MSU" from the drop-down menu and click "Next". Enter a name to describe this connection. (My Brightspace Courses, GFCMSU, etc. Only you will see this name.) Enter the Net ID and password that you use to login to Brightspace. You can check the box to save the username and password if you'd like. Select "Run connection test" and click "Next". Wait for the next window to say "Connection Test: Completed Successfully." and click "Next". Click "Finish". Click "Next". This window may take a few moments to load your list of courses. Please wait for the 'busy' icon to stop spinning before moving to the next step. Select the course that contains the quiz you would like to retrieve. Select the quiz, survey, self-assessment, or question library section you would like to retrieve. Enter a name for the Respondus file that will be created. Click the "Next button. Wait for the next window to show "-Completed Successfully-" and click the "Finish" button. Click on the "Preview & Publish" tab near the top of the window and click on "Print Options" on the left side of the window. Click on "Save to File". In the window that opens, navigate to the location where you would like the file saved, enter the file name, and click the "Save" button.
